Smalkais is an event agency in Riga that has been organising events since 2008. We are not only decorators and not only coordinators. We take an event from the first conversation to the moment the last candle is out and the venue is handed back.
Companies come to us when it matters that the event looks exactly as good as it was imagined. Couples come to us so that their wedding day is something they live through rather than work through. In both cases the job is the same: understand the idea, turn it into a concrete plan and budget, and then deliver it.
What we organise
Corporate events. Anniversaries, client days, staff parties, sports days, conferences and team building. We develop the concept, find the venue, build the programme, dress the room, and run the event on the day.
Weddings. A wedding is a story about two people, so every element of the decor grows out of the couple's values and character. We take on all of it, from the ceremony setting to the table dressing and the evening lighting.
Environmental design and decoration. Interior and outdoor styling for a celebration, a season or a brand event: photo walls, lighting schemes, floral and textile compositions, arches, plinths and frames.
Our own rental stock, not subcontractors
We own our decor and furniture inventory of more than 390 pieces: tablecloths, candle holders, vases, lighting, lounge furniture, arches and plinths. That means three things. The price is lower, because there is no middleman. The lead times are shorter, because we are not waiting on anyone. And we can show you what the event will look like during the first conversation rather than describe it.

How the work starts
- A conversation. Tell us what kind of event it is, how many guests, when it happens and roughly what the budget is.
- Concept and estimate. You receive a proposal with the idea, the visual approach and the costs.
- Delivery. We coordinate, prepare, install and run it. You are a guest at your own event.
